day 1 travel...

 today is our travel day. here is what the company says about it.

To Branson: Arrive in Springfield, Missouri, meet your tour director and transfer to Branson  "the Live music Show of the World!" Enjoy a welcome dinner in Branson with your fellow travelers.

And here is our day:   we were outside in 48 degrees waiting as instructed. When they were 5 min late we got a text saying they were picking people up in the wrong order and it works be another 15 minutes. So we went back in the house. It was nice they texted though.  We were picked up by Gavin at 3:50. Breezed thru TSA work precheck, got a chocolate croissant and went to the gate. We checked our roller bag because we are in boarding group 6 and there won't be any bin space by then.

      We stopped in Dallas for a 3.5 hr layover. We camped out at TGIFridays, had lunch complete with appetizer and dessert and played farkle.

     The flight to Springfield MO was only an hour, then we boarded a bus to Branson.    It's a cute little airport. A bunch of people got delayed and they will drop us at the hotel and come get the others. It is a bit bleek outside. Not green. But a lovely sunset.

We arrived at the hotel and going out room. The group met for dinner at 7. We were told we had a choice of beef or chicken but it turned out they gave us both. They game is cheesecake for dessert and the crust tasted ransid. We told the server and they said there is to many nuts in the crust. That's bs, a cheesecake crust is butter and gram crackers. Almost nobody ate the crust.

     There were some stuffed animals in the dining room. 

We wandered around the hotel and saw the gym in the way back to our room.
